    420W axle wobble

Thanks Larry, The housing has been cracked and welded back years ago. I was thinking of making a step like bushing? Don"t know if that would work. Your suggestion sounds better.

    420W axle wobble

Hi, I have a new to me 420W that has a lot of wobble or play in the front axle. When I jack it up the front axle moves around allot where the front bushing and bolt goes through. I thought a new busing might take care of it but after further investigating it seems that the bushing itself is not...

    1935 B spark Plugs

Thanks for all the advice, I think I will try the 3077's I was trying to find the AC C78S but they are looking pretty hard to come by. I might also try some AC C77L's. They are 7/8's plugs so the 88L's will not work. Thanks again for all the help.

    1935 B spark Plugs

What would be a good hot plug to use in a 1935 B I have used Champion w18 and auto lite 3076's but these don't seem to get it. I don't work this tractor, it has been all redone but in a long parade it seems to start loading up. Someone said AC 88L's but I don't think they will fit is their...

    JD 430 gas tank pressurizes

I just had this problem on a B The gasket is to big for the cap. I took the gasket off and it works fine now. It would buid up so much pressure that when you unscrewed the cap it would blow your hand back. Thats not right for a gravety flow system. I don't put much fuel in it just for parades...

    1935 B gas cap

Thanks for all the good advise everything is running well. Just got one other question Is the fuel tank suppose to build up pressure? When I pull the fuel cap off it pops off into my hand. Most of my old tractors will not do that.

    1935 B

I have good spark all the time. It is wetting the plugs with gas. I don't have any water in the oil. The only thing I have not been able to check is the compression I need to make a adapter for my tester. If it was just running out of fuel why would it backfire? It runs good for about 1 minunte...

    1935 B

It seems to run okay for a minute and then starts getting rough and then backfireing then it dies. All i realy did is change the tubes and put on a new JD head gasket. Do you thing the new Head Gasket failed? Or do the Valves expand that much in that short of time to close down the gap to much...
