    Sherman hi/lo

I just might have what you want, not need! I think I am going to part out the 43 2N that I was given. It has a sherman. Would have to let trans and sherman go as 1. I live in NW Illinois if you are interested.

    Got a free one

Picked up a 43 2N ser#9N107490 for free. Grill is gone, rims are bad, hydralics are out of it. Tin is ok, motor turns and it has a Sherman 3 speed. Question is do I part it out or keep it for parts for the 9N that I use on my property. If I part it out, how do I do that? Thanks for the help.

9n/8n Will not start/now it will

Thanks for all the help. Problem was the Coil, causing weak spark. There is a difference between white and blue spark. Enjoyed installing new points on the kitchen counter. Carb rebuild pretty straight forward. Learned a lot hope I can remember a little. Thanks Again to all

    9n/8n still won't start

6 volt system. No work done on tractor before this happened. "loading up" kinda running slow, I was using the tractor at idle speed, like getting too much gas in the cylinders and not burning it. Spark was checked while the engine was cold.

    Govenor Spring

I have 9n with an 8n motor, front mount distributor. The sping i refer to is the heavy spring attached to the govenor and the arm that holds the lingage to the carb. Sorry for not being more clear in the first place

    Govenor Spring

I get no response from the first quadrant of the throttle. Checked govenor spring. no tension at the idle position, infact it is loose. Ordered a new spring. Now i know this is basic, but I can not get the old one off and I concerned that if I do get it off how the heck am I going to get the...
