    Thanks for clarifying things.Will loop pressure and return lines together. How much flow is on the steering side? I was concerned about returning oil back to the reservoir and"churning" things up in the tank but the alternative would be worse.

    Is it safe to properly cap off the pressure line from the control valve to the power steering unit? Not sure if it bypasses internally till wheel is turned and oil flows to steering motor . If so capping it off should not hurt! This is to allow it to be operated till the leaks in the steering...

    I have a very low production tractor that I am starting to restore. You can easily read the stamped serial number, but all of the International wording is rubbed off leaving a shiny metal tag. Would getting a replacement tag and punching the serial number into it drastically affect the value...
