    Thanks for the reply. I am in the UK, cumbria so it is a bit chilly. Might take it ploughing this weekend and give it a good blast down the road.

    Just fitted a new temperature gauge to my MF165 and ran it at 1400rpm for 15mins and the gauge has not moved. Should it take this long?

    Ive got a 165 that is very original and has never gone wrong and has never failed to start. i think most most 100 series tractors are good.

    Try ebay or bepco. Its probably the same as some of the others (MF35 etc.) but not sure. James

    thanks for the info. mine is the earlier model. do you have to drain the oil to get to the filter or can you access through the top?

    Hi there, is the hydraulic oil filter underneath the top cover and if so should the top cover come straight off or is there anything needing to de disconnected. When you get in there where is the filter? Thanks, James
