    Ok i went out and looked at it and it has a 3 speed trans and the motor says on the left side 8N and rite close the 8n it says NA 7-9 so it must be a 9n or 2n with a 8n motor rite iny info would be grate!! Now if thats rite than what year is the 8n motor and how do i tell if it is a 9n or 2n...

    Mostly just brush hoging . See that is the only falt i find with the old ford tractors is thay have good power but they did not build them heavy enough so if your useing something other than the little 3point hitch you wont be able to getter done vary well !!! butt i still love them and Henry...

    I have a 8n that i just picked up and im not so sure if it is a true 8n or a 9n the motor says 8n rite on the block but the rims and bolt pattern are spred way apart like the 9n is there any way to truely identify the tracktor? Did some 8ns have the wide bolt pattern ? if this helps the motor...
