    Strange diesel problem 3500 Dodge

Hope you got it fixed, but if not I think I had the same problem with a 98 24 valve. It would run fine then quit even while idling. I had a pin pushed through the ground wire on the connector to the VP44 and when it quit I had 12VDC on the ground wire. Ran a new ground wire directly to...

    656 weak hydraulics

In your previous post you said you added 15 gal. of hytran, the 656 hydro takes 19-20 gal. Level needs to be checked with engine running. Have you added any more fluid? Did it lift properly before you did the check valve work?

    656 update

I do not know which side is forward/backward, but the check valve is above the relief valve and the only way I know to get to them is remove hydraulic pump/plate on the right side of the tractor, or the angled rectangular plate on the left side. My tractor is a Farmall 656 the International 656...

    656 hydro wont move

I have a 656 hydro and when my relief valve failed it would not move in either direction and it did not make any noise, but that is not always the failure mode. If it is working normal in reverse and does not slip if you apply the brakes in reverse, the hydro is likely OK. One relief valve is...

    656 Hydro won't move update

I have a 656 hydro and think they are a great tractor. With charge and servo pressure being good I would look at the range shifter. On mine there is a definite "clunk" at each end of the stroke. My range shifter was seized when I bought it and took a fair bit of work to free it. The linkage...
