Re 5000 Ford
First a big thanks to everyone for the advice back on Aug. 1. Removed head and found that the head gasket had blowned. Ordered new head gasket from new holland per Berns advice the tin one. Cleaned everything up good and installed all new gaskets and thermostat. It had already been sleeved... -

Removed head and head gasket looked ok. Cleaned head and block surfaces and they looked good no visible cracks. Had some water jacket in block and head that were plugged up with crud. The motor has sleeves in all 4 cylinders, and they look good. Not sue what is causing the coolant bubbles in... -

Removed head and gasket looked good. Cleaned head and block surface good and they looked good. Did find some coolant passages in block and head plugged with hard crud. Engine has sleeves in all cylinders. -

5000 Ford
Replaced hydraulic pump about 5 years ago. Been using cutting hay and the lift and remotes are weak until the oil warms up. The strainer is clear and new oil. Is this a sign the pump is going out again. It seems to make winning noise when lifting the disc mower and the loader is very slow except... -

4230 Temp Problem
First i would like to thank everyone for the advice. I finally got around this evening late and discovered the water pump shaft seems to have play in it but not leaking around it. 4230 Temp problem
I have a 1977 4230 cab tractor. The lower radiator hose does not get hot. Temp hand is about half way after feeding cattle. Heater works good. Sometimes it will push a little coolant out of the overflow tube. Could this be a thermostat problem or radiator plunged up with trash. I have not...- JPK
