    3000 3 point pin

My 1970 3400 had similar problems. I did remove the loader, which wasn't really that hard. I also had to removed the ROPS (which was a pain) and the back-hoe lower attach structure. The trumpet is heavy, be careful. The right hand pin can be removed through the left side. I used 3M 5200 sealant...

    Lift Arm replacement ball socket

Greetings, I have a 1970 3400 gasoline utility tractor that I have owned since the 80's. I'm in need of a catI replacement socket. OD 2 ID 7/8 for the lift bar. Somehow, I lost the ball. Does anyone have a good part number? I might be able to find one on this site or Ebay. I will also be...

    3400 Generator Brushes

Update: The brushes arrived earlier than expected. The old brushes were not significantly shorter than the new and there was an angle on the new ones. Installed new brushes with the pivot points clean and moving freely. (I believe this was my real problem) Installed generator, ops checked good...

    3400 Generator Brushes

Working on my 1970 3400 with the Lucas generator. After troubleshooting, I found one of the commutator brushes not touching the commutator. (pivot point dirty and not moving freely) The wire was also pinched under the cover and it broke when I removed the cover. I found new brushes on EBay and...

    Delta Drill Press Spindle Bearings

I recently inherited an older floor model 14-207 Delta drill press that has a slight wobble. The run-out was .006 with the dial indicator. The play can be felt when the chuck is held. (the chuck is tight) The number on the bearing is "New Departure 8810" My normal internet search comes up empty...

    3400 Air Tube Needed

Greetings, I am in need of the air tube that goes from the air filter to the carburetor on my 1970 3400 gas engine. If anyone has one left over from a engine swap or parts tractor, I would be happy to compensate and pay for shipping. I'm using a flex duct now but they seem to split and leak...

    Ford 3000 Instrument Cluster problem

Dave, There is no common denominator for all your problems. The 3 amp fuse that Bern refers to powers the oil and generator lights. If your gen light works, we can assume that fuse is good. The oil pressure light gets its ground from the low oil pressure switch located on the engine. Possible...

    3 Point Hiccup

Thanks for your reply. I have the cover kit but not the over pressure valve. Does the cover have to be removed to replace that valve? I'm considering replacing the piston o ring after Christmas. (the time luxury I have with a 2019 Kubota L47)

    Designing a retaining wall

These walls have been up for over 5 years. First course on very level sand. Bought the blocks at the local lumber yard.

    3 Point Hiccup

1970 3400 3 cyl gas. I have had this tractor since the 80's and the three point always had a slight hiccup with the arms up. I recently acquired a Gannon scraper that is much heavier than my Land Pride box scraper. The hiccup has increase, I assume because of the added weight. I had the cover...

    3400 Hyd Compession Fitting

1970 3400; The hyd compression fitting at the pump started leaking again. I loosened the nut and pushed the tube back in but this time it will not stay in. This has happened before and I have had luck reinstalling. I understand the fitting is expensive at the Ford dealer but only around $10 on...
