Oil leak top of transmission Massey Ferguson 135 Deluxe

I have a Massey Ferguson 135 Deluxe I mostly use for tractor cruises. I took it on a 1-man cruise the other day and it was leaking oil out the top of the transmission. It appears to be coming from the two flat sided plug in the center of this picture. What is this plug for? I tightened it a...

    Farmall A-1 Hydraulic Question

I recently purchased a 1954 Farmall Super A-1 with a cultivator. I noticed you can only lower the cultivator with the engine running. My question is, is it safe to leave the cultivator in the up position when not in use? Sure would make it easier to pull start or roll around if needed. Thank you.

    Farmhand F60112A Loader

I failed to get a photo of the pump, missing shaft or the entire unit. All I got were these of the logo.

    Farmhand F60112A Loader

This one does not have a pump that fastens to the PTO. The pump is mounted to the rear frame of the loader, has a shield that protects the PTO shaft. The pump and shield is there but the shaft is missing.

    Farmall F 20

Thank you for the information Red for life. The F20 I am looking at is 613xx, so it would be after yours but not by much. I am confused when you stated your tractor 611xx was gray, but you said in the next sentence that for it to be originally red it would have to have a serial number...

    Farmhand F60112A Loader

I found one of these today. Does anyone have any information, literature, mounting instructions or photos they would be willing to share? Any idea where I could find a PTO shaft and the mounting brackets for it? Thanks so much.

    Farmall F 20

I looked at an F20 today that had been painted red a few years ago when it was restored. The serial number tells me it is a 1936. According to Tractordata.com, IH still painted them gray in 1936. Did the restorer paint this one the wrong color or does anyone have any ideas? Thanks for the...

    Hydraulic line elbow needed

It does not have NPT threads on both ends. One end does, 1/2 NPT. I found out today from a local NAPA store that the other end has #12 fine thread, or a 1 fine thread nut fits it. At any rate, I have not found one but I am on the trail of a couple of used ones.

Does anyone know where I can purchase one of these hydraulic line elbows? The end that screws in the cover is 1/2 NPT, not sure what the other end is. Thank you!

    Low oil pressure VAC

Thank you to everyone's great advice. I made my own stem from a piece of copper tubing and it seems to have increased my oil pressure ~ 2 lbs.

    Low oil pressure VAC

Joe, thank you very much for your thorough guidance. I had a couple of follow up questions on your post as follows: 1. I ordered a small piece of copper and aluminum from Amazon that would appear to be close to the correct diameter. Should I go with copper or Al? 2. I have only done a small...

    Low oil pressure VAC

Cold oil pressure is ~ 14, warm oil pressure is < 10. My tube is missing from the oil filter assembly. I am going to try that first. Thanks to everyone for their replies.

    Low oil pressure VAC

A few years ago, I was talking to a gentlemen at our local steam engine show and mentioned the fact that my VAC has low oil pressure and likely needs to be overhauled. He mentioned you can increase the oil pressure by making some adjustments to the oil pump. Does anyone know how to do this? I...

Color photos Case mounted 2 row cultivator

That's interesting, I was expecting it to be two tone like their plows. I have been told that the green is real close to the 1940's - 50's Oliver green. Do you agree with that? Thanks for your post.
