    Seal

Yes that is the seal that is leaking. I replaced it about 15 years ago but now is leaking again. The seal is 5.68, not bad. Shipping is 25.68. I believe I will see if I can get on local.

    Seal

Haven't been on in a while, but I still have my yanmars. I am looking for a seal for the little hydraulic cylinder under the seat for a YM 1500.

    governor adjustment

A few year back there was a post about the proper way to adjust a governor on a YM 1500. I have looked and can't seem to find it. However I need the correct way to adjust the linkage so that the governor on my YM 2000 will work properly. I have both these tractors and have rebuilt the engines on...

how do you pull sleeves from a yanmar diesel?

Just make sure the block is good and clean, especially where the O-rings seat. They should tap in fairly easy.

    rebuilt engine on 2000

There are timing marks on the gears that have to be lined up, (cam, crank) the idlers do not matter. Maybe you have them one tooth off.

    New cylinder sleeves

The hash marks in the new sleeves are way too coarse; I would highly recommend honing them. It will wear the rings out fast. My tractor did not last but 20 hrs. of use. Also check the end ring gap to make sure it is of the desired spec. Check out my post of all the problems I had by not honing...

1500 valve lash and chg.system amps

Better keep a check on the water in the battery, charging at 15 amps will vaporize the water out after a couple of years. Not once, but twice I went to crank mine and the battery explode, lack of water.

how to get at front wheel bearings on Yanmar 1500 2wd

You should be able to knock the dust cap off, and then there should be a nut or cotter pen holding on the hub. The bearings are sealed bearing and you should be able to take a punch and bump them out. That’s a pretty easy fix.

    YM1500 overheating

I run straight water in my 1500 through the summer and have never had a problem. Just put antifreeze in for the winter.

    YM1500 FRONT MAIN BEARING

I took a piece of shaft and turned it down in a lathe to fit inside the bearing leaving a lip to catch the bearing and tapped them to the inside. Also drilled a hole in the center of the piece and install a short piece of ¾ shaft as a handle and also something to tap against. It looks like a...

    She's alive

Well I thought about it, the sleeves were in spec’s and I have brand new rings from Hoye so I put the engine back together and have it running. We’ll see how long it last this time. Thanks to everybody for their opinion and advice.

    What's the difference between the 2TR20A, 2TR20A-A and the 2TR20A-X? I know there is a 90mm bore(red) and a 88mm bore (green).
