    Help with mower deck

I had 2 of these mowers that had the exact issue that you described. Check for a bad ignition coil. I replaced them and it solved the issue more than once.

    fuel or fool

I delivered liquid fuels for years. The only difference between heating oil and off road diesel, was the item code that I put in the computer before delivery.

    Z120 cylinder head

I have a '48 TE20. Recently the cylinder head cracked between the valves in the #2 cylinder. I have found a replacement that is at the machine shop now. Due to the fact that I had difficult time finding a good one to rebuild, I am hesitant to scrap the cracked head. I have found only one shop...

Need some help on '94 Chevy 2.2 in S10

It could be a vacuum issue or an ignition issue. You mentioned that some times it seems like its only running on 2 cylinders. I believe that this engine only has 2 coils that fire 2 cylinders. Have you tested vacuum and the coils?

    Do a compression test.

    Yet another TO20 mystery

An easy check at this point would be to check compression.

    Timing problem

I have a 1948 TE20. I set the timing by using a vacuum gauge. Mine has a tapped hole in the manifold that I put a fitting into. I adjust the timing until I reach the highest vacuum reading possible. I have set timing on 2 Fergusons and a Farmall H using this method. All 3 tractors start and run...

    Rustoleum woes

When you remove all of the current primer, use non-chlorinated brake cleaner on the metal to clean it. Rustoleum makes a self etching primer in a spray can that will provide much better adhesion to the metal. When it dries top coat with standard primer. Paint should not be applied directly to...

    TE20 Brakes

About 25 years ago I had a heavy duty truck shop that could re-line brakes and clutches put linings on my shoes. They easily found a set of shoes that fit and glued them on for me. I just checked with them on a whim but they said it was an easy repair job and they had re-lined tractor shoes before.

    Free Fuel

It is off road diesel. The differences are monetary only. When I load at the terminal it is all green and an injector pump puts the red dye in the load arm as it is pumped on to my truck. I do not have a selection for heating oil to choose.

    Free Fuel

I deliver fuel. The only difference between heating oil and off road diesel is what product code I enter into the computer before I make a delivery.

    Farmall H question

This may not help but I had a similar situation years ago not on a tractor but a 4 cylinder engine. The head gasket let go at the narrowest point between #2 & #3. A compression test is a fast and easy check for this.

    would you keep her?

I had a warranty issue on a Hyundai Tuscon AWD at 3300 miles. The selling dealer said the issue was my fault. A different local Hyundai Dealer said that there was no way that I was the cause of the issue, he had seen it many times before and was willing to back me up. When I called Hyundai/Kia...
