    JD 4020 and 3 Point Backhoe attachment

    I am thinking of purchasing a 3 point backhoe attachment to put on my 4020. It is a fairly stout hoe, a Koyker KB 800. Any experiences out there with using a 3 point mounted backhoe on a 4020? I have 2 sets of remotes, but I hear should only need to use one of them. Thanks!

    Vented fill plug for rotary mowers

    Thanks! Since mine sits on the side, I drilled a hole thru it and plan to put a pipe cleaner or something along those lines in it to keep dust out. That should alleviate the pressure enough to preserve the seals with cornhead grease in the gearbox.

    Rotary Mower Output shaft

    The vertical output for blade shaft on my old BMB batwing rotary mower broke. It broke just above the bottom bearing. Can a shaft like that be welded or is it futile to try? Also, any suggestions on where to find a replacement shaft?

    4020 Electrical issue

    As it turns out, the starter is fried, looks like the brushes' support arms broke off and did a little welding on the armature. The back plate on the starter is broken also. Any suggestions on where to get a replacement starter? Guessing this one is probably beyond a rebuild.

    massey 175 hydraulic filter location and replacement

    In relation to the post, I have a 175 also, but it is multi power. The lift works 'ok' but it cannot lift these modern large bales. Is that to be expected? Would cleaning the screen at the pump help ?
