    NH 451 parts question

Had mine break a few years ago. There is a small roll pin through the crank sheave that keeps the crank bearing nut from backing off. The pin on mine wore through and bad things happened, very quickly! Between the conn rod and all new bearings its a spendy repair for sure.

    mf 1100 front pump

Shaft seal leaking on front pump. Is this something that can be repaired in a fairly well equipped home shop or should I leave it for the pros at hydraulic shop? Any info greatly appreciated. Mike

    New Holland 451

Good mower in my opinion. Will mount on both Cat I and II. Once mounted and height adjusted they basicly "carry" themselves so height stays consistent. Not bad to mount after a couple of times. If you always use on the same tractor then all your settings remain the same. HTH. Mike

    Please educate me on sheep

Wife and I have been raising "natural colored" sheep since 1993. Target market being hand spinners, knitters, weavers etc. When we started I used to joke that most knitters and spinners were older, divorced, somewhat eccentric ladies however over the last few years there seems to be a lot of...

    What we work on

Dang, Chris, thats a big big Milnor you got there. Put bearings in an 800# Braun pocket washer once, still have nightmares about that!!! Company I used to work for was a Milnor dist but was bought out by my current employer, now mostly 35# and below equipment now. Just not the same.

    OT Kenmore Model 800 Washer

Remove the end cap from each side of control panel (they just pop off) then there should be a screw on each side. Remove screws and panel flips up.

    OT dog food

We use Diamond "high energy" for our LGD"s on our place, mostly pryrenees and pyrenees/komondor cross. 24% protein and 20% fat. Went to self feeders a couple years ago and consumption actually dropped a little. Our dogs also get warm cooked rice each evening in cold weather, especially when...

    OT 01 Chevy trans

01 Chevy 1500 with 4.3 & auto trans. Trans is fine when cold but starts slipping after driving just short distance. Can hear a slight noise when sitting in park or neutral, sound like a pwr steering pump when low on fluid, noise goes away if put into any gear. Strange thing is that after warms...

    Mercury Grand Marquis 1987

Might try a wobble joint with a couple of wraps of electrical tape around it just behind the socket. Then try different extensions or combination of extensions slid in between the starter and block to get where you need to be. The tape on the wobble joint will left it flex a little and keep it...

    MF1100 throttle

Just got the operators manual for a MF 1100 (1966 diesel)that I just bought. The manual says to push the throttle forward to increase engine speed however on mine you move the lever towards the rear. Have noticed that with lever at the end of its travel only about 1800 rpm, have to use foot...
