Proofmeter drive on S-o-S
Red, I just got my bolt in monday and will work on mine tomorrow ,the threads on my bolt were stripped I know the threads are 1/4-28, the total length of the bolt is 7/8", head being 3/8" and the threads are 1/2" long I will let you know more tomorrow how it went Mike -

Hello, if you should need the tach drive bolt that Larry was talking about, I found mine for an 881 at CCT (part no.EAF951A) 1-800-462-7335 for $2.68 plus $10.shipping -

881 hydraulic pump/ slotted bolt - proof meter
Hello on my 881 sos the slotted bolt in the hyd.pump for the proof meter the bolt threads are stripped, is this a 1/4-20 thread and what would be the easiest way to repair ? Thanks, Mike -

I removed the old regulator and rewired - it runs ! autozone has an 10SI alternator for $30. I will be replacing that this week Thanks everyone for all the help ! this is a great site with Great People ! Mike -

Hello ,I have an 881 s.o.s.that has 12 v battery,just replaced new 12v starter,coil,points cond.,cap ,rotor,wires will spin over and not run until I use a jumper from battery + to coil + the solenoid is 6v alternator (delco)has an r no wire hooked to it, the f has a wire running to the + side of... -

Lub oil light on a 881 Tractor
I have a wire that"s loose coming from the lube light and didn"t know where it went,now I know ! THANKS for this discussion !!! one question, on the bulb socket, the part that should be ground it"s hot, is this correct ? Thanks, Mike -

the cable , the handle moves easy someone gave me a number today of a man that restores old automobiles and tractors not too far from me, I am going to call him tomorrow and see if he has any tubing or where I can get it when I get this straightened out I have some power steering pump problems... -

Larry or Chris the cable is long enough but I am having the same problems with it not wanting to slide easy in the tubing ,there isn"t any kinks that I can see,without the tubing I can engage and disengage the pto easy,I can"t find brass tubing anywhere around here ,would it hurt to use copper ... -

I don't know what has been bypassed on this one ,I bought it several months ago and had been trying to buy this for 3-4 years,I just like the old tractors , don't know if that was a good thing or not intake was leaking,had hydraulic leak , now p/s pump and gas tank leaking - ordered parts on... -
