    RWA

OK, then maybe you can tell me what the BWA, KWA and TWA stood for—assuming the WA are the same-unless they are not. Thanks for the information, I really appreciate it.

    CIH information needed

For beans and corn I think you want the bar grates but if they don't come with the machine like they usually do there are plenty of them available at the bone yards, etc. I don't do corn, but beans and wheat work beautifully with my '89 1620. I want the wheat straw chopped as much as possible...

IH 1420 Combine Air Cleaner Screen

I would call Wisconsin Tractor Parts in Black Creek, WI. 877-530-2010. I know they have several in their yard. I got a radiator out of one of them last year. Good people and they will guarantee the part for a year. There are quite a few of those machines around here.

    1420 IH For Sale

I have an IH 1420, 1981, for sale. It has electric over hydraulics and auto-header control. It shows about 1,300 hours but probably has more. Good tires, not banged up, good running machine. I have replace the auger bed augers, vertical and horizontal unload augers, and various other things...

    Combine Rear Tires: which direction?

I am putting new rear tires on a Case/IH 1620. Can anyone help me understand why I might want to put those rear 11.2 x24"s on backwards? I see this all the time but they were not that way on this machine. What is the purpose of having them on backwards on the rear? Thanks for your help!

    3 to 4 Corn

NO shortage of rain in Wisconsin -- it has been raining daily since last Sunday. Maybe some sun tomorrow finally. Some corn looks good from the road but other fields are just emerging as they were planted late too -- maybe 3-4 inches.

    Tractor Junk Yards in Wisconsin

There is a dandy between Berlin and Westfield at Harrisville. Check a map, it is the only thing in Harrisville besides one tavern. Another one is on Hwy 23 east of Fond du Lac called ??? I can't remember the name right now but you'll find their add in the Wisconsin State Farmer. Black Creek...

    Weather Award of the Year

Finally dry enough to spray some 28% and 2-4-D on the wheat today in northeast Wisconsin. Had plenty of time to do it with nothing in the forecast before mid to late evening. Even had time to wash the tractor in the pouring rain as I pulled out of the last field a little after noon. Yeah, I...

    Reality Check

Thanks, that is what I wanted to hear. They'll do it over if it doesn't stop leaking, but I've been trying to be clear on what I'm looking at. Sounds to me like they did it right but something went wrong or was missed. Thanks again! Things happen -- I've seen that on bumper stickers....

    Reality Check

I paid to have a rear engine seal put in a Ford/New Holland TS110. Since the tractor is still leaking oil from the same rear spot, and since it does not appear that the engine pan was taken off to replace the seal, my question is: can the rear engine seal be replaced in these tractors by...

    Mini GAC

I should replace my old Dicky John moisture tester and am wondering if a Mini GAC or the Mini GAC Plus would be the better choice. Obviously, the Mini GAC only tests moisture, but that is about the only thing I can do anything about anyway. Comments or ideas are appreciated! Oh, and will the...

    Frozen Maple Sap

Thanks to all of you. Now I"ll have to think about my position relative to thin ice! Maybe what I need is a tester as mentioned -- it sounds like a fun tool and might be very informative. Thanks again!

    Frozen Maple Sap

The Wisconsin cold is freezing some of the sap in my storage containers. Tasting the ice, it seems to me that there is no sugar in it although there is plenty of sugar in the unfrozen sap. Is anyone familiar with this and can I simply discard the ice instead of trying to evaporate it once it...

    Weather reports from Wisconsin???

Slush, sleet, snow, rain just south of Oshkosh. About an inch of s8!# so far today and it is now 6:00 p.m. Roads are slushy but quite driveable. That is in the country--I'm sure the 4-lane is clear. Hoping for a half foot of snow on top of the winter wheat before the 10 degree temperatures...
