    head gasket

Is the fire ring on the head gasket supposed to set on the sleeve flange? The head gasket in my kit does not come into the flange area. What keeps the sleeves in place if the fire ring is not on top of it?I have a 48 8N with the .040 sleeves.Thank you

My GTC had the dash you are describing from the factory(sqare box). But it also had the clamshell fenders.Could you have a dash from a GTC mounted on your GTB?

    620 JD Lp

Do you have the air filter cup on and filled with oil?It will not move the regulator diaphram if you dont.Fuel coming out of the middle hole? That is where the primer solenoid goes or am I misunderstanding?

    60 LP

Does it matter what the outside temp is?My 60LP will do that also if the temp is under40.It will fire and die.I jumped the resistor,Iprimed it until the oil gurgled in the air cleaner, set the fuel control(choke)all over the place-no go.It was suggested that maybe the starter was pulling so many...

    ampli torc

Hi guys, thanks for the replies. It bugs me to hear noises like that.I just know that it is something being worn or damaged past repair.I dont think the torque is working, there is a very very slight decrease in speed. My M602 has a good drop in speed going into low and jumps right back up when put...

    ampli torc

I just bought a 4star from out of a weed patch.I have it running and it has a slight tap or knock from the amplitorc area.If you put it into low,the noise goes away. The tractor slows down very slightly when you put it into low.I loaded the driveline by applying the brakes and the torc does not...

    60LP

I have not tried to pull start it.If it started, that would point the finger at the batteries/cables/connections.I do have the bypass intact and I jumpered the resistor once just to make sure it was working.I made the cables out of 2/0(really fun to get it in the holders)all crimped connections...

    60LP

    M602 distributor #s

Well I looked again with my glasses off--you are correct.I read it wrong.I must not have been able to get it far enough from me to see it!I still run into the same problem. However on one site, they dont care about the number. They just want to know direction of rotation,# of cylinders, and voltage...

    M602 distributor #s

I was checking into an electronic ignition kit for my M602 on this site and others.I am not finding my distributor number.I found a 1112926 and a serial number on the breaker plate inside. No tags on the outside of the housing.I am finding numbers on both sides of mine listed.I thought a M670...

    60LP Questions

I just finished restoring a 60lp.It turned out great and is probably the sweetest running 2 cylinder I have. The head on that tractor is the same as a gas tractor. The pistons are higher compression.Mine was stuck and the cylinders were in bad shape;however,I could not find any oversize pistons.I...

    IH 2504?? injection pump timing

Hi,A friend of mine picked up an IH industrial tractor loader backhoe. The serial number plate has been sanded and I cant find the model.By the stamped serial number I think it is a 2504.It is a 4 cylinder indirect injected engine with a roosa master pump. The previous owner had removed the pump...
