    Yeah, Perkins diesel with the Multi Power. First job will be diagnosing the lift issue and an axle seal leak. I'll start with the o rings in the lift cylinder and go from there. Got the service manual ordered. Good to know that there are some interchangeable parts from other machines.

    Sounds like after years of other folks "fixin" on the tractor, I was left with a governor and carb that were way outta whack and when I took the gov apart and rebuilt it, nothing worked.

    Points and plugs gapped at .025. Plugs removed, not fouled. Just did routine maint oil changed just before problems started.

    52 8N ignition problems

    Thanks for the pic. Figured out I was getting a short from a hole in the insulator. I have to manufacture a copper strip, there is a piece of wire serving that purpose now. Keep finding those little "shade tree" fixes everywhere.
