Long 610 4 cylinder 102mm D-121.050 injection pump: which way to twist it to advance the timing? top towards the engine? Because I think mine's too far advanced, hence the rattle as rpms go up- NatWester

Long 610 - Air Filter
Air filter assembly, removed, bottom view. I've got the cup and the lower filter element removed. I'd like to take it apart and pressure wash the whole thing. How can I clean this upper element? Diesel/pressure wash? The inside of the center tube is cake with dirt/dust -

I've got the heads off and I can still see the crosshatch pattern on the cylinder walls, so I'm thinking just rings. Next question: can I access the connecting rod caps by removing the large cover/plate on the bottom of the oil pan? Not the whole pan? Here's what Google says: AI Overview...
