pto jacked up
I have a 65 5000 and had the same problem. Jack up the left side of tractor so oil doesn't run out. Then remove the left foot rest and small inspection plate. Inside you can see where the pto lever pushes on a small hyd. valve. that little button should pop out all the eay when you put the... -

ford 5000 fuel level sender
Thanks for all the recent help on my 65 ford 5000 restoration project. I was flushing out the fuel tank and looked inside and found 3 small plastic garbage bags. Go figure? anyway I fished out 2 of them but the 3rd one is hung up on the sending unit for fuel level. I pulled the cluster out of... -

5000 pto stuck on
I wedged a 2 x 4 against it and it stopped spinning easy so I guess I'll check the brake. Is it repaceable? Thanks -

5000 pto stuck on
I have a 65 ford 5000 the pto is stuck on. I opened the inspection plate on the side of the rearend. The spool was stuck in on the control valve so i got it unstuck and put it back together. When I started the tractor the pto turned slow for a few seconds then up to speed fast. With the... -

ford 5000
I am fixin up a ford 5000 it was stuck in high range i took the cover of the tranny and fixed the problem. The next thing I need to fix is the pto is stuck on. The lever on the left of the seat (when sitting on the tractor)moves back and forward about 3 inches but doesn't seem like its hooked...
