John Deere new gen. Front weights

Does anyone know if the new style hang on front weights were avail. On new gen tractors? The parts web page shows them. Just wondering since I have hang on and not as many slabs. I do like the slab weights better on new gems.

My tractor is similar 63 35x. The multipower wasnt working and it turned out to be the valve in the bell housing was stuck in low and the bracket in there was loose and the lever to valve therefore not operating. I have it all back to gether and the multipower is working fine. I am getting...

    MF 35 manuals needed

Mark I have just put my 35x back together. The multipower was not working and I found the valve in the bell housing was seized and the bracket in the bell housing that works on the valve was loose. The bracket is only held by one bolt. I renewed the seals in the input shafts and the 4 rings...

    135 multi power filter

My 35x was stuck in low multi. The water in the oil had ceased the spool in the valve and the bracket that holds the linkage in the bell housing had come loose. It is only held by one bolt and can swivel if the bolt is not tight. That water in the trans oil does alot of damage. When I get the...

    multipower input seal

MF35x .I am installing new seals to the input shafts and the seal between the PTO shaft and the main shaft has to be pressed about 65mm up the PTO shaft from the rear. The book/books say use tool mf256 which not only holds the seal and keeps it square but also slids it to just the correct...

hand starting with the crank handle

My old tractor (TEA20) came with a crank handle and I have been playing with being able to start it when cold. Which I am managing to do by holding the choke open with a 20mm wide strip of wood. But the purpose of this post is to warn others to realise that this over-rides the saftey of the gear...

    multipower spacer for 35x

This question is probably best answered by Masseynut. I am about to split my 35x and do the clutch and lockout the multipower. I found the spacer size in a previous post , 69.5mm od 54.2mm id and 2.9mm thick. This post was for a MF65 and I need to know if that size will also suit my 35x. Thanks

    circuit turn off

Sorry fellas, yes it is a 3cyl perkins diesel. The generator looks fairly original and the starter motor is brand new. Most diesels I have had to do with you have to turn the electrical circuit off after you have pulled the stop cord to the injector pump. So if the battery is losing charge...

    circuit turn off

I am not sure I am turning the tractor off properly. I have recently aquired a 35x and the battery seems to loose charge over a couple of days while sitting there. I have charged it back up with a charger and then had the positive lead disconnected for 3 days and it has held charge. So when...

    Hi/Low transmission on a tea 20

I believe you are looking at a Howard reduction box that fits within the existing housing. They are very weak and usually the gears get damaged in the low ratio. I have one in my tractor and it still works fine in high range but jumps out of gear in the low range.

    Redirecting TEA-20 exhaust

Well I got the muffler from NZ and put it on in minutes. It is set up as the vertical muffler. It is alot quiter than the earlier one, makes the engine very pleasant to listen to when idling over. It is straight through, you can see straight through it. It cost $135 Australian with postage...

    Redirecting TEA-20 exhaust

I would be very interested in a super quiet exhaust. I get sick of wearing earmuffs. My tractor has the second one in that photo and it is a bit noisy.Perhaps you can let us know how you get on with the NZ one.I was a bit worried about back pressure and had not done anything about a replacement...
