    Brian, I got a book for Christmas years ago titled "Ford N Series Tractors". On page 67 there is a picture of a rear work light on an N tractor. This is a 12V copy of that light. When I know I'm going to need it I bring a battery along.

    I don't have a problem with the steering wheel being in the way on the 8N Hobo. I've had it off before though, first time was horrible. What's your secret for removing it?

    Showcrop, I could hobble out to the barn right now and take that hood off by myself with no hoist, no problem. But is that the smart thing to do when your 74 and have two bad knees which are the very least of my health problems? There are things I just can't do anymore.

    flembo, There is virtually nothing to using this. Connect the chains to the tractor: I never had headlights so I utilize the holes that were already there in the doglegs. The bent hooks go up in the back corners. Pick the hood up about 4" and loosen the 1/2" bolt in the side of the 2" sliding...

    This was an easy weekend project last summer prior to replacing the wiring harness and water pump. It beats the cobbled together rods I've used in the past. 7' of 1-1/2" square tube, a short piece of 2" and some hardware. Got about $50 in it.
