    Farmall F20 and Farmall H axle size the same?

    I happen to stumble upon a Farmall F20 thats ready for the scrap heap. I am wondering if the steel wheels from it will fit on a farmall H? I want to put the wheels off this F20 on my 1944 H.

    Not that anyone responds to this but.... I did get it figured out. It did have the wrong fluid in it. And the pedal needed adjustment. I also purged the air out of the system. All is well now.

    The only reason to build up a low gear tractors motor like a JD B for dead weight pulling is to get into classes you have no business in. Like 8000lbs class. Thats when people break things pulling stone boats weighing 16,000 lbs.

    Assuming its a 6 speed B, it will pull stone boat just fine in stock form. Not a whole lot of reason to do motor work for dead weight pulling as 1st gear is painfully slow and theres no reason to pull stone boat in any gear but 1st.

    What classes are you trying to compete in? Assuming transfer sled, if you are actually competing in "stock" classes you'll be heavily outgunned by M's in 4500. You would be much better off with a 1939/40 H in 3500lbs class. An H can dominate 3500. You can get that SH down to 3500 but its...
