I am working on a friend's 641 diesel. It has the 144 diesel. Thanks to all the info here I now know that it will be almost impossible to find parts to rebuild the engine. I am gonna see about getting a 172 to swap. I am wondering if the injector pump off the 144 will work on the 172? Also... -

I am in the process of re-wiring the tractor so that the glow plugs work. I purchased new ones and have the wiring diagram so that part is OK. I am curious though how they work. 641D starter switch
There is another solenoid mounted further up in the dash. That appears to run to the two plugs mounted in the intake manifold. The plugs are not hooked up and present owner says he has never used them. Tractor starts right up without them. I would like to have those working also. -

VAC oil leak from head
I was gonna replace head gasket, etc. cause of an oil leak. On closer inspection, it looks like the oil is coming from the stud that is located on the right side (for a spark plug cover?). DLTX throttle
I rebuilt my DLTX on my model A and everything is working except the throttle shaft is pretty tight. I put in new bushings so I think I need to ream the bushings but want to know the best way to do this or if anyone has any other suggestions to loosen up the throttle shaft?
