    Leaking head gasket on my recent bored out rebuild, is this because the stock gasket it too small and 'exposed' more now that it's bored out?? Where can you get a better Head gasket??

    Look at the diagram as if it were the rear hitch, As the front goes up, the rear hitch swings inward, under the rear axle, shortening to less than say 18 inches

    Break in procedure ...please advise

    You need to keep the oil spraying around under the pistons and up onto the cam, Idling is a no-no for the cam, Did you coat the cam or lifters with STP or similar cam breakin lube when you installed the cam?

    On a Briggs cam, make a fixture to hold the cam then heat the cam with a torch and twist the cam to split the lobes to give it more overlap between the lobes, or cam advance on the gear drive end.

    Let me know what you came up with to solve the problem, I turned a spacer out of aluminum and drilled 6 holes using a flywheel as a pattern for a sprint car, back in the day. Still got the spacer.
