    I was looking through Hoye parts today and ran across a draw bar #HBD-4150. I got 1 of these when I bought my Yanmar tiller, I never understood how it was used. <E>:roll:</E>

    YM1700 with water pump overheating

    I have same tractor same problem, had radiator rodded out, cured it. It now runs around 160 degrees. I'm betting it was not rodded out, mine was resoldered and painted. Cost 75 bucks.

    I have exact same set up on my 1700, oil pressure up to 50 lbs. Does not drop off.

    If the tube will slide back in, I would JB weld it. Clean real well with lacquer thinner or acetone

    Reading PJB's post I saw pic of drawbar, I bought a yanmar RM1400 tiller and that same drawbar came with it. Is it even used with the tiller? I could'nt figure out how to attach to tiller so maybe doesnt go with it. Not sure exactly what drawbar is used for. Tiller works fine just hooked to 3...

    bought 5' bush hog finish mower and used first time today. ran for about 45 mins and got to 200 degrees, i have installed water pump kit and it has not run over 180 degrees with rs 1400 tiller &amp; 4' bush hog. of course it was over 90 degrees in alabama today. how high can temp safely get to?

    YM 1700 starter solenoid

    It may be Alan, but when I lightly tap starter it quits spinning. I'm thinking solenoid link may be binding, it was very hard to get the spring to stay on solenoid when I installed it. I'm going to JB weld it to solenoid and try that.

    I replaced solenoid because I replaced old battery cables and connections were so corroded I broke 1 post off. when I cut off tractor starter keeps spinning but is not engaged with flywheel.
