    Sherman transmission in 8N Fords

    The ford 8n9n naa has no live pto, therefore the sherman slows everything. However, it does give you 50% more torque, maybe enuf to run a tiller. The N pto is 800rpm- @2500 , so the sherman should give you about a normal 540 pto. It might work. I have all sherm parts. Ron TePoel

    i easily solve this problem by drillng a 1/8 hole in the lifter bore, put a drill bit in backwards, and the tappet is set perfectly.

    A hotter plug is NOT recommended for heavy work. A good motor with a lean carb should use the oem plug. A good thermostat should be considered mandatory in any tractor. Ferg distributors are usually worn and out of time. The advance curve should be something like the orig.. Spark plug...
