    Sherman transmission in 8N Fords

    The ford 8n9n naa has no live pto, therefore the sherman slows everything. However, it does give you 50% more torque, maybe enuf to run a tiller. The N pto is 800rpm- @2500 , so the sherman should give you about a normal 540 pto. It might work. I have all sherm parts. Ron TePoel

    tappet adjusting wrenches

    i easily solve this problem by drillng a 1/8 hole in the lifter bore, put a drill bit in backwards, and the tappet is set perfectly.

    A hotter plug is NOT recommended for heavy work. A good motor with a lean carb should use the oem plug. A good thermostat should be considered mandatory in any tractor. Ferg distributors are usually worn and out of time. The advance curve should be something like the orig.. Spark plug...

    i just put a 129 block into a to 20. I learned there are many differences in these blocks, including the center cam brg oil. original to 20 cam should not be used in to-30. Switching blocks must be done with exteme care, and I found the oem ferg shop manual is so much better than i-t. I have...

    it is very common for ferg distributors to sieze up due to broken parts, and ruin the camshaft. The dist must be rebuilt to new specs. Do not delay. need help?? contact me
