    PTO Overrun Clutch

13 years on this 10 acres :-) Mower is set high to take the tops off the weeds. I pretty much know where all the pitfalls are around here.

    PTO Overrun Clutch

Thank you! :-) I actually did mow after the service call!!! He took the time to explain and demonstrate how to shift. I can now actually find third and Ollie putts right along happily. I had been only able to find Tortoise or Drag Race. Tortoise worked okay, Drag Race spooked me. I will...

    PTO Overrun Clutch

I was concerned about the size of the ... splines? Implements seem to fit every brand, so it makes sense these would.

    PTO Overrun Clutch

Well, then ... seems Mitzie and Ollie are getting matching overruns. If nothing else, it well make me feel better!! Back to the question .. Are they Universal? "Are they all the same?? TSC is $85 and eBay is $54."

    PTO Overrun Clutch

Thank You!!!! seperate clutch ... Mitzie and the Oliver have ... Levers? If Mitzie is being cranky, I'll grind a gear as it goes in and there are 'notches'??, if I remember. Stepping on and off, you can knock it out of gear. Ollie, push/pull the button on top, shove back and the PTO starts...

    PTO Overrun Clutch

" live PTO thinking it will save my PTO brake" And this is where I see words and have no idea of their meaning in this order. The overrun was one of the first things my husband did on the Mitsubishi when I bought it for him, and when I bought the Oliver, I set it up the same way, because Karol...

    PTO Overrun Clutch

Sorry, yes ... a '55 Super55 :-) The mechanic that came out last night said the Oliver would keep pushing if I pressed the clutch. My solution was just disengage the PTO then the clutch ... he was not convinced. Tractors were my late Husband's forte ... I know enough to be dangerous...

    PTO Overrun Clutch

The Oliver and I tangled with the Sweet Gum tree, and lost. Tore my exhaust stack off, I ran over it with the Rotary and broke the overrun clutch ... thing on the PTO. Mobile guy was out and has me running, but says I am safer with this item. WeWon'tTalkAboutTheNekkidPTOShaft ...... Are...

    '55 Super 55 Dead Overnight

She is a gas '55 :-) I for sure had some panicy moments!! Looked at it when I fed, and it is an alternator. Currently, I am sulking over the battery, and the new charger ... by tomorrow, I'll think of them as an investment, since the battery that was in there was ancient and I let the charger...

    '55 Super 55 Dead Overnight

Thank you!!!! I have a volunteer to come out this weekend to check. I have a meter (somewhere) but I have no idea how to read it. I have consciously avoided all things electric all my life. How do I tell (am off to research) if it is generator or alternator?? Reading the article on changing...

    '55 Super 55 Dead Overnight

I bought the Oliver a new battery yesterday (he's been busy playing paperweight too long) and mowed all afternoon. Mowing in thick, tall weeds. He got hot (I've cleaned off the radiator!!), but I checked a couple hours later when I fed the livestock. Started right up, not a bit of lag. I have...

    Super 55 Paperweight

It has a customized rubber bungee to hold it tight. I'd love to make him Parade Pretty ... but he is a workhorse :-)

    Super 55 Paperweight

So last month, I was mowing and my Super 55 would not strt the next day. Changed the clamps and off we went. Next day, back to paperweight status. Waited for payday, got her a 3 yr 65 group battery and put that in today. Vroooooom!! :-) Did my happy dance and put gas in, and mowed. The battery...

    Piloting the Super 55

Absolutely I do. Does not mean I can correctly identify what is up and down .... yet.

    Piloting the Super 55

Oh, no!! Pick a gear on the tractors!! Never shift. that was lesson one on the Mitsubishi. I only mention listening to the engine as to why I never look at the tachometer. Never had to.
