    Modifieds in NC

    I have noticed all winter there have been a lot of modifieds for sell in NC. Whats going on down there, is everybody quiting or going to something else ? If there are any of you left you are welcome to come up to Va and pull with us anytime.

    My Massey 360 tie rod end rubber boots have rotted away. Dealer says he can't get them. Are there any other boots that will fit them? Thanks

    MF 360

    I bought a MF 360 a while back,the left brake gave out and a little later the right one give out. Both pedals go all the way down. I can bleed them but it only helps for a little while, the master cylinder has been replaced with a new one. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix them ? Thanks in...

    Custom Head Gasket

    I ordered one from Lubbock, I sent the old one for a pattern. He got close enough on the third try I got it to work with a lot of work. The first two I got were a joke. I had Chad & Earl to make one a couple years ago and its still going.

    To SMR on Oliver 550 PTO ... found this for you...

    I am from Franlin Co. and the tractor came from Callaway which is in Franklin Co. Probably this is the best buy I've ever made on anything. It is now running fine and looking good except for pto. Thanks for the information. {RED BULL] PS: I do feel a little guilty for getting it at this price.

    550 pto

    I have just bought a Oliver 550. The pto shaft runs constant whether its in gear or not. What could be wrong, how do you check it out? Thanks

    Cockshutt 40 adding power for pulling

    Well, I did a little more to mine. It has a 3400 Hercules, which now has 401 cu. in. It will pull 5th gear through the 6000# class and on some tracks through the 7000#. Not very hard to put in.

    cockshutt 30

    2nd low is to slow. It should pull high 1st pretty easy, that would be 2.75 mph at stock rpms. On a hard track you might try low 3rd which would be 3.3 mph. It also would depend on what rules you are pulling as far as speed limits. Good Luck.

    wheels

    I just bought a Allis Chalmers WD45 which has the power adjust wheels, one of them is loose on the rim. The locks are as tight as they will go but the wheel still knocks and slips on the rails. What can be done to fix this problem ? Thanks in advance.

    rebuilding 550 cockshutt into a puller

    You need to go with the 2300 engine. Its a later version of the engine you have.

    30 44 gears

    I have a 44 row crop that needs the 4th gear replaced. I also have a couple of 30's and a 44 standard industrial parts tractors. The gears in the 30's I have would be much easier to get out since they are already partially disassembled, but I don't won't to take them out without knowing whether...

    You can get Buda engine parts at your local NAPA store.

    44 read end

    Are the ring and pinion gears the same in the row crop as in the standard ? I know in some tractors the standard has a higher geared rear end than the row crop, but I don't know about the Massey, Thanks
