    Coil Continuity 8N front Mount

    Have two "spare coils" for my 8N front mounted distributor. I get continuity when I connect top terminal to the "pig tail" on both but nothing on either when I connect top terminal with front tab. Are both of these coils bad? thank you.

    *8n won't start after running

    I had difficulty getting my 8N to start . I replaced condenser, points, rotor, cap, plugs. Finally starts. Now after running it, say for a half hour, once I shut it off, it won't restart.
