    2640 diesel fuel system

    I would vote with the person who said to crack the fittings on the injector pump. I had a 2640 that was the devil to prime after changing the fuel filter. new pump did not solve the problem; opening up downstream did.

    Patience. breakaway or ATF down the sides of the pipe. let sit and repeat over next few days. then heat with a propane torch. let cool. chain one end to a stout tree and other end to tractor. pull till chain is tight. beat with a big hammer. pull some more. Repeat until satisfied.
