    manure spreader, separator

    I need to take the rocks out of the manure before spreading on the field. There must be some sort of equipment to do this ? I have a Ford 2000 to use. I have 200 head and I can spread manure into the neighbors field, which is farmed, but not if the manure has a lot of rocks in it...

    8N quits when hot

    Friend of mine had the same problem. Turned out to be dead insects stuck in the intake of the on/off/sediment bowl valve right at the bottom of the gas tank.

    Could be a bad coil. When coil heats up, it has a short. When coil cools down, short goes away. Just a guess.

    Look at the Youtubes where the folks cut apart filters. Fram is always last, if not below last. I use Wix.

    I vote for fuel starvation: Check the fuel filter screen in the carb. Then, I think also that you might have an intermittent problem at the sediment bowl. Unscrew the entire assembly and clean it, looking for possible insects in the assembly that could give rise to an intermittent clogging...

    Type A transmission fluid for power steering?

    I have used the 134 hydro fluid in my 2000 for about 25 years now with no problem. It makes using one fluid all around much more easy.

    Water pump

    I have a 2n front moiunt distributor. I have replaced the water pump without removing the hood. Just don't damage the radiator when removing the fan. You will need a 1/4" socket. And be sure to get a rebuilt water pump, instead of trying to rebuild the pump yourself.

    Rope seal replacement

    I rebuilt my 2n about 20 years ago. It is now starting to lose oil thru both the front and rear main seals. The original seals that I put in at the time were rope seals. Is there a replacement nowadays for these old fashioned rope seals. like on modern cars ? Thanks in advance

    Starter Stuck in engaged position

    Just a thought; On the 9n/8n starter holes in the bell housing, those holes really don't give enough room to reinstall a starter without a lot of cussing, especially if it is engaged.     Try blocking down the clutch pedal and try again. If she moves, then the trans is the culprit.
