    1850-1900 shift pattern plate

I am sure I have one on an 1800 which is the same pattern as far as I know. Problem is I am in Ontario Canada so probaly not worth the shipping cost? I suppose I could try mailing it to you if you want to pay the postage? I will take a look in the boneyard tommorow and see what I have first and...

    clutch for Oliver 88

Thats pretty incredible. Like I said I put a new 12 inch stock clutch for 1655 in mine and it slipped badly for the first 150 feet or so, then seemed to take hold, but upon taking it apart it made a mess of the 4 button disc pads. I was only in 4500 pound class. I was running 5th gear though. I...

    WTB: Underslung 1655

Just curious why you want an underslung? I have one on a 1650 and it is what I call "choppy" to drive on rougher ground compared to the up front conventional wide front. You will be lucky to find a nice original 1655 period , but you could always swap on the underslung. If you are anywhere close...

    6 foot Brillion seeder

I have 0 experience with planting sorghum, but have used a brillion seeder to plant hayfields for several years. It looks like you have a single box for planting fine seed only, plus I have heard sorghum should be planted an inch or so deep. Brillion just barely covers the seed. You would...

    clutch for Oliver 88

What are you fellows running for a clutch in your Oliver pullers? I managed to get a 12 inch pressure plate and a 4 button disc from a 1655 in the 88 bell housing by grinding a tad inside the housing. However it was all in vain as one pull and it slipped quite badly. I am finding that automotive...

    Farm update

I have straight cut oats with my 18, but put a pickup on it one year when oats had some green stuff in them and will not likely ever go back to straight cut. Seemed to feed thru machine much nicer when in the swath. However if you dont have a swather you will get along o/k if oats are ripe/dry...

    Young farmer help

Your doing a lot better than me. This spring has sucked here in central ontario. I finally got one field of oats in on May 12th, but cant seem to get a dry enough spell to get last field in. If I were you I would forget about one of those old cabs. It will magnify every engine noise and...

    PTO Lubricant for 1550 Oliver

Personally I would just continue to use a light hydraulic oil in it if thats what it was running. AW32. I have bought tractors that had what appeared to be hydraulic fluid in HP and they work fine. As far as ATF and hyd fluid mixing I really dont know.

    PTO Lubricant for 1550 Oliver

Your title "PTO lubricant" makes me think you may not know that the proper level of gear oil in your differential/transmission also lubricates your PTO bearings and gears? A 1550 takes at least a 5 gallon pail.

For Those who Sell Hay - Prices in 2026?

Daniel: I think the key thing for selling hay is to establish a customer base that buys around the same amount every year. As you know I have been selling hay now since the cattle left the farm 30 heck maybe its been 35 years now. I have managed to establish 7 customers that take pretty much the...

    Oliver 70 canvas seat

So yours is a rowcrop. The standards and row crops are a bit different in that the rowcrop lower section in about 4 inches taller than the standard, and mounts differently. top part that the seat canvass goes around is the same. So you will need to find one from a rowcrop. Shouldnt be too hard...

    Oliver 70 canvas seat

Will try to get you a pic tommorow, but you could probably could just google it? In all honesty I would imagine most of the original "Beamis bean bag" is what I call them seats were replaced with something much better shortly after riding the first round cultivating around a plowed field!
