    Massey Ferguson 65 Battery Replacement

I use a 600cca truck battery in my 65 and it spins like a top. No problems at all. If your in doubt you could always buy the biggest one they have (1000 cca) here in my hometown. Just my 2 cents worth.

    MF65 hydraulic pressure test question

Well the test showed that at my highest reading I had 1800lbs pressure. Doesnt sound like enough to me. I guess I'll try a new relief valve first and hope that helps.

    MF65 hydraulic pressure test question

I'm getting ready to finally test the hydraulic pressure on my 65. I'm just wondering about a few things. My tractor has the control valve under the seat between your legs to operate my loader and lift arms. What I'm wondering is once Ive got the guage hooked up and the tractor running, do I...

    Disconnecting front loader

It's a 65, and the pump is internal. I'd like to do some work on the loader, so I just wanted to double check before I started pulling stuff off it.

    Disconnecting front loader

Need to remove the front loader from my mf65 so I can make some repairs on it. My grandpa rolled it over years ago and twisted up some. Id like to remove the cylinders and everything, but Im wondering what to do about the hydraulic lines? Do I remove them at the control lever and plug the hole...

    David P, South Whales

Keith it sounds like your experiencing alot of the same problems I've had with my 65. After I replaced the o rings in the stand pipe under the top cover it worked better, but its still pretty weak and tries to bleed back off especially under a heavy load. I'm going to try replacing the safety...

    Throttle on Row Crop 65

I made my own friction discs out of cork gasket material, the original ones was about $4 each at local dealer, and I ordered the star washer for $6 I think. The ears on my throttle lever was pretty worn down so mines not perfect, but its a lot better then before. I didnt remove the battery box...

    MF65 loader wont lift

Think I opened my big mouth too soon! Lifted a truck motor today in my garage to move it around and although the loader picked it up, it slowed way down and then started leaking back off again. No visible leaks anywhere. Since I replaced the standpipe o rings, Im wondering if the relief valve in...

    MF65 loader wont lift

No I havent rammed the bucket or anything. Picked up about 200lbs the other day and thats when I noticed the trouble. I removed the spool valve (controls) from under my seat and pulled the pipe up out of the pump and the rubber o rings are completely missing. So Im thinking thats allowing the...

    MF65 loader wont lift

Well I removed the cover and started the tractor. I couldnt see very good because my tire was in the way, but it looked like the fluid was circulating around in the bottom. I thought maybe this was just due to gears moving inside the housing lol. I guess I will remove my tire again tomorrow...no...

    MF65 loader wont lift

Thanks for the tips. I'll check it this evening as soon as it cools down a bit. Do I need to drain the fluid down any in order to remove the cover or is it supposed to be dry inside it??

    MF65 loader wont lift

Been searching through the old posts about this problem. My loader wont raise at all until I rev the rpms high. And even then its very weak and it bleeds right back off even under the weight of an empty bucket. Also I noticed that the rear arms raised up when I had pressure on the front bucket...

    MF65...needing help..AGAIN!

I hate having to ask for help again. I'm trying to reassemble the throttle linkage, and I cant figure out how the linkage goes thru the brackets and into the lower throttle lever. I've looked at the parts diagram and its no help. It seems like everything keeps binding up against the steering...
