    A friend of mine is looking at a John Deere model 3039R tractor with front wheel assist. It runs great, good tires, low hours and has a loader and a cab with AC & heat. Looks good, not been abused, low hours. I have no idea how much to tell him it's worth--any ideas?

    I'm looking at a 2017 Ford F150 with a 2.7LEcoboost engine. Towing is rated at over 7,600#, which is plenty for my use. Anybody got experience towing with one of these? My normal loads are in the 6,000# area, and fairly flat country.

    OT pesky groundhog

    Normally when I get a groundhog some where I just shoot and shovel, but this guy made his hole right smack dab under my propane tank. Not a good place for target practice. I have a live trap- what's a good bait for the darn thing.

    Bare fields, no tractors

    Left South Central Michigan Thursday, drove to Columbus, OH for great nieces graduation. Then on to Cincinnati to our son's house. Lots of fields not yet planted, no corn up until south of Van Wert, OH. And not one tractor in the fields, just too wet. Going to be a late year.

    What is it?

    This shrub/tree/whatever is growing in my landscaping. What is it? To keep this tractor related, it's right outside my tractor shed. Seems to grow very fast for a woody type plant.
