    Winter project

Got a project for winter, have to pull the head on my uncle's WD9(he bought it new, ordered it while he was in the army and it was waiting for him at the local dealer when he got out at the end of the WWII). Warped starting valve. This will be first time head is off since he overhauled it in...

    WD9 valve cover gasket

Does anyone know where I can get a valve cover gasket for a WD9 at or maybe some cork material to make one? I checked Stieners and their cork pieces they have in the catalog are too short to make one. Thanks, Brian

    881 FINISHED

Finally finished repairs on the 881 today by installing a rest-o-ride seat! So nice to have a seat with suspension on it! Did a lot of work on it but she's been kind of neglected for a lot of years. Thanks to LarryNCKS and JiminNM for the parts and seat. Brian

    881 getting closer to finished

Got the fenders and loader frames back on yesterday. Worked on getting the red tail light and rear work light functioning( I think that's the first time the tail light has been on since 1960). Putting her on the dyno tomorrow for a bit and give the bands a final adjustment. Next week the...

    Rest o ride seat

My cousin is kind of looking for a rest-o-ride seat to put back on the 881. I know they're darned expensive to refurbish. Just throwing it out there if anybody has one in ok shape and reasonably priced? Thanks, Brian

Fuel tank is fixed, but I need to replace the o-ring that goes on the shutoff valve and tank. I know I've seen messages showing the dimensions of the o-ring. Can someone give me the size? Thanks, Brian

    Something different

My cousin would like to know the cost of a complete decal set for a 881 diesel. I checked on YT and I see they have the two for on the side of the hood, but is the other set for the other models include all the other decals needed(including the diesel decals for the hood)? I know there...

    881 filter pics

OK gang here are the pictures showing the sight glass and how I mounted an external filter for the s-o-s transmission. The bulkhead fittings on the tranny are 3/8 pipe thread. I used both compression and flare fittings with short pieces of 1/2 in copper tubing and used oil resistant hose to...

    Next item on 881

Can someone tell me the dimensions to locate the pin for stabilizing bars for the 3pt? I have a Paulson loader on the tractor and when my dad purchased the loader, the dealer removed the bracket for the stabilizer bars. I really want to get one back on as it would make my 3pt blade work a...

    881 running

Hooray! Got the NEW external filter all hooked up yesterday and the sight glass mounted on the right access cover plate on tranny housing. Filled with oil started up and all three circuits had 180 psi! Improvised oil light sender works(got one from NAPA that goes off at 3-12 psi). No leaks...

    881 tranny

Hooray! Got the tranny back together today. C3 works when I put air to it so hopefully I'll have 1, 3, 5, and 7th now. Got lucky with changing the C2-C3 clutch drum as it brought the endplay on the output shaft back to specs. Tomorrow I hope to get the finishing touches on mounting an...

    seal rings

Just my luck. Putting main shaft in C2-C3 hub and broke the last ring as it was going in. Didn't barely push on it, kind of looks like it was already weak. New one here Tuesday. Going to be real extremely careful here on out with seal ring. Way different than Case power shift seals. Brian
