    long fiat ?

I've been hunting for a definite answer, but can't find one. Can anyone confirm the relation between a Fiat 450 and a Long 445? They appear to be very similar even though they came from opposite sides of the old stone wall.

    History's Harvest

I know it posted here last week on History channel's "Harvest", but did you catch this weeks? Whoever produces that drivel should have to clean the pig pen with a three tine fork. While I can't fault the people the show is about I only hope they are not proud of History's end result. I thought...

    500s

J Walker is searching for 500 info and in my attempt to help I stumbled onto a story in farm collector magzine from May of this year that stated there are only 30 left. I know the production run was small at around 1700 and the eastern states have the greatest saturation, but I feel that...

    1st ammendment

God bless this country of ours. But I'm glad my ancestors didn't have this post when they wanted to move west. I'd probably be plugging parking meters in Boston right now. We got to learn to take some chances, the reward is far greater. After all it's that drive that got us this far.

    db nose job

Have 4600 DB. The top cowl of the nose cone has that common DB wrinkle. I believe I've located one about 200 miles away. It comes off a brown belly 990. The grille on a 990 looks to be taller than its little brother but is the top of the nose the same. I don't want to drive there for nothing.

    DB tin work

I have a 4600 with a wrinkled nose. As well as I know the later 780/880's and the 885 should be the same. Can anyone tell me if this is correct and where i might find one in the midwest.

    MOWER OF SOMETHING

On the side of the shed at home we had a piece of something that reminded my young mind of half leaf rake. I never had enough interest to ask pa what it was. Thirty years later I drove by one on the side of the old granary on a very modern daiy farm. The attachment is a flat stock about 6' long...

    pull type swathers

Every once on a while I stumble onto one of these around mid MN, but can't seem to find any info on the lineage of these machines. Most I've seen are IH, 8'to10', rubber tired, PTO. My assumption is they grew out of the binder platform sometime in late 40's 50's for the midwest where direct cut...

    Kelly Ryan

Can anyone tell me some info on Kelly Ryan? Where and when they operated. Who bought them out. What they built. Was a small spreader on the home place. It served us well as a spreader and later a wood hauler.
