    i have a 706 that has been converted to alternator...     well..im getting back to you guys... here is what I learned. N0.1 no more work in and old tin shed at 10 pm and 20 above trying to get something done in a hurry.Now about the engine...Put the main thrust bearing in with oil hole on bottom..needless to say it is fried.rest of mains show no wear...

    can someone put a bug in my ear about how to adjust the high and low idle on the 706..263 gas. When I fisrt start it cold with throttle at idle position it will idle around 1500 rpm, when it is warmed up and I speed her up some and then slow it back to idle, it runs so slow I can almost count...
