    Splitting rear of VAC

    I'm working on a VAC and the seal between the transmission and the rear axle is leaking. I've tightened the bolts but it's still leaking.     What's the size/thread count on the end of the speedometer where it goes into the dash? I believe the male bottom end of both are 3/4-22 for the 700/800.

    I removed the plug on the end of the broken tachometer cable and found that the end of the cable looked ok but the "female" end of the adapter in the block seems to be rounded out.
