    Hydraulics on MF165

    I have a MF165 diesel that I had to go over a rebuilding and now the Hydraulics won't work..was working when I started,but been sitting for 2 years... I removed the pto lever plate and cleaned the strainer and also replaced the transmission oil..but lift arms won't work and also the aux...

    Have tractor that the serial number on dash is TO-47903 But on the engine it is Z129A600 ..Anybody have a clue as to which one I have?....need to know so as to order parts,etc....Thanks and any help will be greatly appreciated....Mike

    I am rebuilding a perkins ad4.203 engine.. Just got it tore down to block.. Now i need to clean it so i can Mike it .what is the best way to clean it..I have to blow out all the crevices,holes,etc... should know this but been awhile since i have worked on diesel engines.....thanks for any...

    I found that whoever was in the engine last had put the bottom bearing in backwards..wonder it ran at all.... I believe that i will have to have a new crankshaft and while i am into it, I might as well do a rebuild new rods,bearings,rings,etc..the whole works......to the block anyway..\...

    tractor was tedding hay with and old Grimms 4 rows of tines type. Not a hard pull....Not sure how the dude running the tractor did this, but everything he does , he manages to tear up....

    I finally got the front off and the oil pan removed... One of the connecting rod bearings is seized to crankshaft..still have remove bearings and check to see the damage to the crankshaft..connecting rod will have to be replaced..and bearings of course... Do you have any ideas as to why this...

    Nice picture, wish i had a shop like yours.. I have taken the engine down to block, no problems that i can see, so its off with the oil pan....I have jacked up transmission and used jack stands as safety....I have already used jack stands on fronr part of tractor....Now the unbolting of oil...

    Not the bendix, and yes the engine is seized up..took out the starter and tryed to move with bar no luck , put in new battery, and tried with transmission in neutral, and high/low was in neutral also..and clutch all the way down...still won't turn.... Helped a dude put in a ductless ac/heat...

    only problem that i have had with my 290 was one side getting stuffed up and was only planting one row.....now i make sure to lift the planter up before i stop or turn ,etc..also i wanted to plant some heirloom corn and bought a 16 cell plate instead of a 24 cell......haven't tried that...

    I agree, I have been in touch with Tartar and they think the same way as we do.. I told them that i was going to put in a pin and see what happens..they assured me that if it wobbled something would be done....I will see and let you know also... thanks again.

    Doesn't have a spring pin in it now..waiting for some to come in from ebay dealer...It is doesn't have a bearing ,just a round shaft that slides down over the output shaft from the gearbox...been raining for days and until i get the right pin in it and try it, I won't really know for sure how...
