I have contacted Montes, and there serial numbers don't match with my engine for some reason. Hopefully some one has old documentation on these engines.

    Continental L head Year?

I have Continental F-162 serial 31370 stamped on the block and also have what appears to be a cast date 1-16-Q on the right side of the block. I have an IH U2A 113 power unit, and the last letter in the date is A for 1955. Did Continental use the Letter system for the year also, being that Q...

    57' Ferguson F40

Just got a Ferguson F40 with the Z134 engine, which is supposed to be the same as a Massey Harris 50. I got the tractor for a fair price, but it going to need some TLC. The biggest problem is that the cam gear is all chewd up and governor shaft along with the gear was snapped off with end of the...

    Eisemann Magneto

Just picked up an Eisemann Mag the other day for $10.00. Trying to figure out what application it came off of. I did do a little research based on the model: "AM", that there was a industrial and aircraft version. It has the large vertical mounting flange and looks very similar to an American...

Look what I found JD 1010 update

I forgot to say, make sure that when you pull the pump not to lose the shims under the adapter plate. The adapter plate has two sealed bearings that support the gear shaft, I ended up replacing the bearings while i had it apart. The transmission shafts aren't to bad to remove. The reason...

    Jd 300 b backhoe

Just like TX Jim said, on my 300 it started making a loud grinding sound and just faded away, after that it had no hydraulics. The splined coupling between the pump and engine had stripped out. I'm glad that the pump wasn't bad.

Here is the new homemade Neutral safety switch brackets, seems to work pretty good so far. Took me awhile to get the right angles and for it to work correctly. Here is a few pics showing how it works with the switch engaged when in "Park" or "Neutral" and when in 1st gear or any other gear the...
