    Freeze Plug Question

Sean, I think you are correct. Took a quick look this afternoon and the plug appears to be tucked behind the coil, off to the side to the carb. I will need to get out the tool box this weekend and take a closer look. Yes, the darn thing is temperature sensitive despite much messing around...

    Spontaneous PTO Problem

Thanks to all of you who insisted that it was a clutch adjustment problem. That was the problem but with an unsuspected cause. After much head scratching, I discovered that the clevis on the clutch pedal end was hitting against a muffler clamp. This prevented the clutch from engaging a...

    Spontaneous PTO Problem

I recently sold my much beloved Jubilee and bought a 1972 2000, 3 cylinder, gas. The tractor was owned by a landscape contractor who had it stored inside for the past 5 years. It came with a number of known problems, most of which have been resolved by researching past posts on this board. ...

    Oil Question

During the summer, I use 10W-40 oil in my NAA. The most readily available 10w40 oil is marketed as "heavy duty oil for diesel engines." Is diesel motor oil acceptable for use in my gasoline powered NAA? Thanks for the help. Russ

    NAA Starter problem

Thanks to everyone for your helpful advice. I began with the least expensive solutions and worked my way up to the more expensive. I don"t need to tell you the outcome - it was the most expensive fix that worked. It needed a new starter. Again, thanks for all your advice. Russ

    NAA Starter problem

I have a starter problem (I think) with my NAA. When attempting to start it, the solenoid clicks and squeals a bit but the starter does not crank. This is indicative of past corroded battery terminals. But a cleaning the terminals and even replacing the battery hasn't solved the problem...
