I have had this tractor for about 10 years, it was used for about 7 and has now been sitting for about 3 years. It starts up and runs fine but I am going to sell it as I have no use for it any more. Does anyone know what I should ask for it? I believe it could be restored and worth a lot, but in this condition I just dont know how much to ask, I dont want to get ripped off. Thank you.

$2200.00 Max if condition is as you state. Less if Tires ,Engine,Drives,Accessorys are bad. Sheet Metal all there? Seat OK ? That series Tractor has a History of Sheet Metal disappearing and Seats going bad.Head Lights/Tail Light OK? 3PH work? You see what I mean? The Tractor is 46 years old and things happen. It's not like it is very collectable. They were not every one's favorite small Tractor. I worked for IHC Advertising in 1961 and we never knew it but that series Tractors were not very stylish compared to others. The 1206 and the rest of the 06 line sort of added a little style to the Tractor line albiet to late as History has shown. IMHO

John, I don`t think there was any problem with IH`s styling in that time period. Those `40 and `60 series tractors came out in 1958 and were competing with JD`s `20 or `30 series.I for one don`t think they took a back seat to JD in the styling dept!If anything, IH was late getting a tractor out to compete with Deere`s New Generation tractors in 1960 or `61,but that wasn`t a styling issue as much as engineering and ergonomics. At least that`s my take on it, Mark

With the extra tires and wheels I'd price it as pictured for $3000 or a bit more as it "appears" be set up for 3 point and has a PTO (or am I seeing things?). Is it a 240 or a 2404? With a loader people seem to price them (2404s) at $4000+.
