#1-12.59vWith the wires connected as you have them, test and answer each question. MAKE SURE THE TRACTOR IS IN NEUTRAL!
1. Voltage at the battery?
2. Is the solenoid mounted to a good ground?
3. Voltage at the starter terminal of the solenoid?
4. Voltage at the battery (#1) terminal of the ignition switch?
5. Voltage at the start (#5) terminal of the ignition switch when turned to start?
6. Voltage at the start (S) terminal of the solenoid when the key is turned to start?
7. Voltage at the I terminal when the key is turned to start?
8. If you use a jumper wire touched between the battery cable of the solenoid and the solenoid S terminal does the starter engage and crank.
