4440 Flood Lights

I've got a 4440 that the flood lights are working sometimes and then just go out. Not necessarily when they get hot just happens with no pattern. I have checked it with a multi-meter and the breaker for the flood lights is working running 12 volts both sides in both cases, and the switch is working will shut off the power but will run 12 volts when switched on whether they come on or not. The headlights and flashers work always. I tried looking at the big color John Deere wiring schematic online but can't get it big enough to read it on the computer. If the flood lights are shorting out its not tripping the breaker and there is no where that I can find that seems or smells hot. The front 2 are the only ones hooked up, the upper rear have been taken off due to getting torn up by tree limbs over the years and the wire up to them is properly capped. On the 3 relays under the steering wheel, is there 1 of those that could just affect the floodlights only? Other thoughts?

I think there are some under the floor panel that gives trouble. Pull the panel on the floor under the clutch and brake pedals.

I can attest to what Tim S said about dimmer switch. 4040 no cab. Had lighting issues that were a result of the plastic wire harness
connector at the dimmer switch being wore and had melted a little sometime in its life. I ended up replacing plastic connector on end of wire
harness. Remove the panel, turn lights on and move wires around at the dimmer switch.
