5-1 b powerblock value

(quoted from post at 00:04:40 12/04/09) Nevermind I can read if I open my eyes.

I think I may have found one. I found a tractor that has a 5 1 marking in the block between the case and top water port. The problem is that there is no trace of " power block " cast into the case. Is there any chance that there might be some out there like that, or will I have to pull the head and mic the pistons? Scott

(quoted from post at 00:57:58 12/05/09) Scott, there were no JD blocks with 5-1 in them. More likely someone ground off the "Power Block"

Darn.....

ya lost me. If it says "5-1" it ISN'T a JD BLOCK. most likely it's a power block with some grindage. That's a good thing. CHeck for petcocks too, PB won't have any, and the block has a distinct look to it.
