600 Hydraulic Problem

In picture 1A your selector is in the position control position but you state you adjusted the draft control. Verify that your selector lever is actually in the appropriate position for Draft vs Position control. Normally these would be very small adjustments even with a new follower pin!

When I adjusted for draft control, the lever was put in the perpendicular to case position.
When I tried to adjust for position control, the lever was put in the parallel to case position

I don't know the procedure you used so I will post what is on my book.

Thank you so much. I have performed all in this procedure as stated and have the issue when I try to adjust the position control. As stated is needs to come down quite a bit. Reading your manual, it states that if the adjustment cannot be made the "draft control fork" may be bent. My original shop manual does not mention this and no part is labeled such. What is it?.

I took out the fork - it looks fine. I'm back to square 1 so I took the whole thing apart again.
I'll try again tomorrow.
One question, is it possible to put the lift control lever shaft in wrong? Looks like it can only go in one way
Thanks

How I see it as I don't have the jig to set the lift arms this also give me a fit.

Set draft up the set the turn buckle short almost as short as you are now. 1) Why I set it up short this sets the distance of the end of the 3 point lift arms off the ground I think 8" from the ground is the norm. If they are not at 8" I lift the cover with a engine Crain while the cover is lifted about head high make the adjustment. Longer to pick up the arms and shorter to lower them.

Set your cover on put a few bolts around the hydraulic feed tube hole and a few more around the cover (optional) and fire it up to check where you are at. I did not look the video through their is one I found that's extra good at this I think that is the one.

If the draft does not function as advertised it can be tweaked a little without lift cover removal.

It is possible to install the lever assembly incorrectly by rotating the 4 bolt flange. I know because I did exactly that but, when you go to install the key and pressure plate it is pretty obvious what is wrong.

I started all over again and ended up with the same result. I can adjust the draft to .039 but when I attempt the position control adjustment, it will not get close to the .045. I'm at the end of my rope. I hate to just install the cover back on the tractor and pray for a good result, but it may be the next logical step.
Any help?

Adjusting it here? I usually leave it where you have it about 4 threads showing on the adjuster. If I lengthen it the lift arms will be to high off the ground for some implements.

Let me ask one more question. I've never used the draft control and have no intent on doing so. My only concern is to lift and lower the implement behind the tractor - right now bush hog. If I put the cover back on with the position control adjustment too large as seen in the picture, what will be the result?
