Don't mind mowing and raking with an open station tractor, kind of enjoy it, but really beginning to dislike the dust, noise and heat while baling.
Baling with a 398 Massey 4wd now, might go look at a 7610 2wd with a cab and ac.
7610 should have more power than the Massey, but about 1500 lbs less weight, not allowing for the cab. Pulled the baler for a couple years with a 5000, not enough power for my rolling ground, and the baler seemed to push the tractor around some, don't get that feeling with the Massey...maybe load the rear tires on the 7610 if they're not?
Supposed to have 3800 hrs, but also has a new motor, don't know why...8 x 2 tranny with dual power.
Asking $12k for it.
Figure I'll take a pressure gauge to check the hydraulics at the remotes, look at linkages and drawbar holes.
Guess I really don't have a question, don't HAVE to have it, but a guy can't have too many tractors....looking for thoughts and opinions.
Did I mention how much I dislike the dust, heat and noise while baling anymore...must be getting old or something.
