841 PTO shaft

I have an 841 diesel that I got several years ago and started working on, then life got in the way and I m just now getting back to it. So, I ll probably have several questions along the way. Right now I m going to put the PTO shaft back in and reinstall the lift cover, so I can pull it out and pressure wash it.

And, lol, I am dumbfounded by something right off the bat. There is only a bushing and no seal between the hyd and diff? I don t see one in the shop manual either. Am I missing something?

BTW, I posted what turned out to be a fairly lengthy thread when I first got it. Probably 2015 is there an archive somewhere so that that I could access that thread? It had lots of really great info.

Here is a link to the parts drawing that shows an oil seal around the outside of the bushing. The oil seal is number 2 and the bushing is number 3:
