Got a problem I've never encountered before with my fords. I picked up a sweet 960 last fall that had been sitting for a while. My problem is that the PTO doesn't disengage when you push the clutch in. The clutch free play is adjusted correctly and it doesn't matter which hole I have the pin in for live PTO. I hooked up a 3 point spreader this spring and thought maybe the 2nd stage of the clutch was stuck and not releasing? Is that possible? I ran it with a 7 foot sickle last night and it still wont disengage with the clutch. I have to shut the tractor off to engage the PTO. I haven't dug into it yet...just looking for ideas before I pull the shaft. Any ideas?
